The National Hunting Grounds of Mafra is launching its Volunteers Program. This initiative reflects the institution’s openness to its host society and based upon the principles of participation, collaboration and the sharing of knowledge capable of contributing towards preserving an environment that simultaneously represents a legacy bequeathed by both history and nature.
Taking pleasure in nature, natural, architectural and historical heritage and the cultural legacies and their respective preservation, availability, responsibility, multi-skilled, motivation and trust with a team spirit and believing in collaboration makes all the difference at the National Hunting Grounds of Mafra.
The volunteers may be integrated into visitor welcome activities, receiving groups (schools, scouts, companies, families, etcetera), supporting management practices or forestry surveillance, monitoring species of fauna and flora, maintaining visitor support infrastructures, supporting the hosting of events, among other tasks and duties.
