The National Hunting Grounds of Mafra contain some of the most representative species in the national flora range

Among the most common tree species, the eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus), the cork oak (Quercus suber), the maritime pine (Pinus pinaster) and the stone pine (Pinus pinea) all stand out.
